Dear partners and stakeholders, I am Seol Dai-Wu, the Chairman of the Foundation. Our Foundation plays a pivotal role in propelling Korea toward becoming a 'global vaccine hub' by establishing a world-class vaccine production infrastructure. With the continual threat of pandemics such as swine flu, MERS, and COVID-19, vaccines to prevent infectious diseases are becoming increasingly significant. The global vaccine market has experienced rapid growth, expanding from $16.7 billion in 2015 to $22.8 billion in 2019, and is projected to reach $103.5 billion by 2028. We have secured GMP-grade vaccine contract manufacturing facilities at our Animal Cell Empirical Research Support Center in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and our Microbe Empirical Research Support Center in Hwasun, Jeollanam-do, and are providing support for vaccine development and production, particularly for Korean SMEs facing challenges in building their own facilities. Our executives and employees will spare no effort in assisting Korean SMEs in successfully developing vaccines and in helping Korea transform itself into a global leader in the vaccine industry.
